Catherine Odora-Hoppers

About

The study focuses on culture, masculinity and social change within an African context. It seeks to understand the high prevalence of rape with a cultural background that strongly sanctions sexual violence and rape. The research will be an Afrocentric inquiry into reasons for rage and meaning of violence, in a quest to find cultural “tools” for transformation.
